Who I Work With
Have you ever said or felt,

"I just need more discipline", especially when it comes to your money?

Maybe you’ve tried budgeting, but after a few weeks you fall off track and start spiraling. You wonder, "Why can't I just commit to this?" Or you look at your accounts and think, "I should be further along by now."

If that’s you — you’re not alone.

In many BIPOC families (including mine), there’s a strong emphasis on discipline, structure, and a right-or-wrong way to do things. But what if that mindset is actually the problem?
Because just following a budget doesn’t change your beliefs or emotional triggers around money.

My approach
I take a different route — one that centers awareness over rules, and compassion over shame. Together, we’ll explore your relationship with money and success, and co-create systems that actually work for your life — not someone else's template.
I draw on evidence-based modalities like:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to challenge unhelpful money narratives
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) – to manage emotional triggers and increase financial mindfulness
What it's like to work together...
I won’t just listen — I’ll help you connect the dots, name the patterns, and move through what’s keeping you stuck.

We’ll explore your relationship with money, power, rest, and self-worth — and you’ll leave each session with clarity, tools, and support that actually fits your life.
Jasmine is currently accepting clients in New York & New Jersey.

Jasmine supports BIPOC professionals who are ready to earn more, spend without shame, and feel grounded in their financial decisions.

Who I Work With
You're the one everyone depends on — whether that’s at work, at home, or both. You’re juggling demanding roles, caregiving responsibilities, and expectations that leave little room for your own needs.

Maybe you're a parent who’s exhausted from trying to keep it all together. Or a professional in a high-stress job who feels guilty for wanting rest. You’ve been strong for so long that even slowing down feels unfamiliar.

If that sounds like you, I want you to know — you're allowed to need support, too.

My approach
In our work together, we’ll create space for you to reconnect with yourself — without guilt.
I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based strategies to help you:
-
Quiet self-critical thoughts
-
Manage anxiety and overwhelm
-
Set clearer boundaries
-
Regulate your emotions in the moment
-
Prioritize your own needs without shutting everyone else out
What it's like to work together...
Clients describe me as warm, grounded, and gently direct. I offer honest reflection without judgment — and I’m here to support you as both a parent and a person.Whether you need help untangling mom guilt, rebuilding after burnout, or just remembering who you are outside of your roles, therapy with me is a space where you can breathe again.

Who I Work With
You might feel stretched thin — juggling work, relationships, family expectations, and the quiet pressure to hold it all together. You’re managing, but barely. Maybe you're navigating a breakup, a job shift, or just a season of “What now?”

I work with adults who feel emotionally overloaded and want space to slow down, reflect, and reset.

Whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, depression, or big life transitions, I’m here to help you feel less alone in it — and more grounded in yourself.

My approach
Therapy with me is a space where you get to take off the “functioning” mask and just be. I take a holistic, strengths-based approach, drawing from:
-
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to shift unhelpful thought patterns
-
Mindfulness – to help regulate emotions and reduce overwhelm
-
Solution-Focused Therapy – to build momentum with practical tools
Together, we’ll explore what’s weighing you down, uncover what matters most, and create strategies that actually support your real life.
What it's like to work together...
Clients describe me as calm, warm, and direct — someone who will validate what you're feeling, but also gently challenge what’s keeping you stuck.

You don’t have to have all the answers. We’ll figure it out together — at your pace, with support you can actually feel.

Who I Work With
I work with adults moving through the messy middle — grief, identity shifts, burnout, caregiving, or a chapter of life that no longer fits. My clients are often BIPOC, faith-aligned, or deeply reflective people looking for space to reconnect with themselves.

Whether you’re navigating trauma, trying to reclaim your voice, or simply seeking clarity, this work is about more than symptom relief — it’s about becoming whole again.
My approach
You’re the expert on your story — my role is to help you hold it with care, explore it with curiosity, and support you as you shape what comes next.

I bring a flexible, culturally sensitive approach to our work. That might look like slowing down to notice what’s coming up for you, working through trauma responses with grounding strategies, or weaving in faith-based reflections when that’s part of your healing.

Depending on what you need, I may draw from tools like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help challenge negative thought patterns, or Narrative Therapy to explore and reframe the stories that shape your self-view. I also integrate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support emotional processing and values-based living.

There’s no one-size-fits-all path here. Together, we’ll find what fits you — not what looks good on paper.
What it's like to work together...
Clients describe me as grounding, intuitive, and curious. I ask thoughtful questions, offer calm presence, and welcome your full humanity — including your culture, your faith, and your grief.
You don’t need to justify your exhaustion or explain your background. We’ll build a space where you don’t have to translate yourself — and where healing doesn’t have to look like perfection.
Sonia is currently accepting clients in New York.
